LBI Law, LLC strives to represent each client based upon their personal values and objectives. In family law, the issues are innately personal, often essential to each client’s identity. Attorney Laura Inns draws on her unique experience as a lawyer and former journalist when working with clients to develop a representation that fits the client. LBI Law provides each client with honest expectations and makes every effort to remain approachable to all clients.

About Laura B. Inns

Laura grew up in the North Shore suburbs. She attended the University of Missouri-Columbia graduated cum laude with a Bachelors of Journalism. Laura worked as a photojournalist for more than 10 years. She decided to change to the legal profession because she wanted to serve people directly while being able to afford to give back and effectuate change. Her legal practice began in general litigation and was heavily focused on agriculture and probate litigation. In 2014, she narrowed her practice to focus on family law. In her family law practice, Laura has handled disputes over allocating the marital estate, establishing a nonmarital asset, improper disposition or dissipation of marital assets, allocating income-tax liability for unconventional income structures, parenting time, significant decision-making for children, establishing paternity, allocating income tax benefits arising out of children, and much more. When she is not working, Laura spends her time with her two dogs, Bailey and Sarge. Bailey, born in 2014, is all business and loves swimming, tug, and trying to get Laura to keep up with her in agility. Sarge, born in 2017, is forever young at heart and loves all things edible.
